Ronald J. Monark is the immediate past Chair of the Smithsonian Libraries Advisory Board (2009-2012) former president and CEO of Mitchell International, the former president and COO of ATE Enterprises, the former president and CEO of KLM and the former executive vice-president and COO of Morgan Yacht. He has degrees from the University of Chicago and the College of William and Mary and has served extensively on several boards at William and Mary. He served on the William and Mary Entrepreneurship Advisory Board and the William and Mary Arts and Sciences Graduate Advisory Board. He is also a past chairman of the College’s Friends of the Library Board and served three years as chairman of the William and Mary Foundation. In 2009 Monark and his wife Debbie moved to Williamsburg, Va., where he teaches courses in entrepreneurship at the William and Mary Business School and monitors (at a distance) his daughter’s attendance at William and Mary.
