Jay W. Freedman of Bethesda, Maryland is an attorney and the Managing Partner in the Washington, DC office of Foley & Lardner, LLP, and a member of the firm’s Business Law Department. He has a broad-based corporate practice, including mergers and acquisitions and securities regulation. He also has an active estate planning and administration practice. He is a former attorney with the Office of General Counsel at the Federal Communications Commission. Freedman has been active in a number of community activities, having served as president of the Washington Hebrew Congregation, the Washington, DC chapter of the American Jewish Committee, and the Woodmont Country Club. He is also a member of the Economic Club of Washington. Freedman holds a B.A. degree from Williams College and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
