Margery and Edgar Masinter donated funds to establish the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Library. This endowment has been used to supplement general acquisition funds for the purchase of design and decorative books for the Cooper-Hewitt National Design library.
In past years, the endowment has funded several hundred much needed design books especially in the area of 20th century decorative arts & design subjects – a special interest of the donors. On occasion, Masinter funds have also been used to obtain special collection materials and to fill in gaps in our journal holdings.
